Past Projects of Interest

Members of our team have conducted ground penetrating radar studies in many parts of the world including Africa, Japan, Greece, Portugal, Iceland, and Puerto Rico. Among the more spectacular finds is the discovery of the buried foundations of a Medieval abbey near San Salvo, Italy, dating as early as the 8th Century. Ground penetrating radar data was also collected in the ancient city of biblical Bathsheba in Eritrea, Africa. In the U.S., we have imaged unmarked graves and spaces between them for cemetery managers who wish to sell empty plots. We image buried storage tanks (USTs) and examine rebar in concrete for condition and count.
